THE MOST WORSHIPFUL GRAND LODGE

OF ANCIENT FREE AND ACCEPTED MASONS

OF THE

COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS

Bring an old friend back to Your Lodge in September!

Homecoming

The Grand Master has declared September as "Homecoming Month" for Masonry in Massachusetts and is encouraging lodges to call or send special invitations to brethren who have not attended a meeting recently and to plan a special program for the evening. This is the first initiative under the Grand Master's renewal and reinstatement plan focused on doing a better job of serving our current members. By welcoming Brother back into their lodge and showing them the Fraternity they have missed through their absence we can renew their enthusiasm for Masonry. Each of us can think of a brother we enjoyed seeing at lodge who has not attended for awhile and that we would like to see come back - and maybe that brother is the one we see in the mirror.

"Square And Compasses Day"

 In Massachusetts September 24th

Square & Compasses Day

On September 24, 2005, 9 AM to 3 PM, every lodge building in Massachusetts will host an open house and welcome the public to come in and learn more about Masonry. In the weeks leading up to this date the Grand Lodge will be promoting "Square & Compasses Day" by advertising on television, radio, and in newspapers across the state. And every building will be supplies with a banner to display. For this event to be successful we must ensure our buildings are full of men and activity. The new version of "What it Means to be A Mason" will be available to show, but the most effective too for bringing new members into the Craft is one Brother answering the questions of an interested man and explaining the meaningful benefits and value Masonry has had on his life.
