MONTHLY BREAKFASTS
The St. Matthew's Lodge monthly breakfasts continue to provide a great opportunity for a good meal as well as a chance to gather together at the family level. We hope that many of you will take advantage of this opportunity - the food is well prepared and served at the proper temperature, the price is right and you will definitely be amongst friends. See you there every third Sunday of the month; 8:30 to 11:00 A.M.
ROBERT BURNS NIGHT
Wor. Bro. Raymond and Edith Burgess will be hosting a fantastic Robert Burns Night on January 24, 2009. The festivities will start formally at 7:00 P.M. with a Beef Pie dinner prepared by Margret Marnie. The evening will also include the traditional Presentation of the Haggis, bagpipes and Scottish Dancers. Come ne, come all; the cost is $20.00 per person and the tickets are going fast.
DATES TO REMEMBER
FROM THE EAST Greetings Brethren:
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and you are ready to join us for the fun and work ahead.
On Saturday, January 24, 2009, St. Matthews will be having a Robert Burns Night. Please bring your wife or significant other to a night of Scottish food and Scottish entertainment. If you enjoy the pipes and love haggis it will be an evening you don’t want to miss.
I know it is hard for some of our brethren to make our meetings during the winter due to the cold and inclement weather. If you’d like to come to the meeting but do not have a ride, please call a fellow brother or myself and we will get you to the meeting. Our Senior Deacon has a goal to see all the seats of St. Matthew’s filled this year, let’s make this happen.
I would like to thank our breakfast crew for another job well done. Also, many thanks to Bro. Dave LaPlante and Bro. Dan Fallon for a well planned Kids Santa Party.
Fraternally, Jim
