DON'T FORGET THE COOKIES!! One of the great, long-standing traditions within St. Matthew's Lodge is that during the December Communication the wives and sweethearts of the attendees gather in the banquet hall to exchange Christmas cookies - not only the products themselves, but also the recipes used to make the delightful morsels. Show this notice to your "better half" so that she might be fully prepared for the December Festivities.

MONTHLY BREAKFASTS The St. Matthew's Lodge monthly breakfasts continue to provide a great opportunity for a good meal as well as a chance to gather together at the family level. We hope that many of you will take advantage of this opportunity - the food is well prepared and served at the proper temperature, the price is right and you will definitely be amongst friends. See you there every third Sunday of the month; 8:30 to 11:00 A.M.
Robert Burns Night Wor. Ray Burgess is planning a wonderful evening for January 24 with all the good things that normally accompany this event - The Haggis, Margaret Marnie's wonderful meal, bagpipes, entertainment. Make sure you listen to the fine details when they are announced and get your tickets early. This one should be another sell-out.
CHARLTON INFORMATION Anyone seeking information on the Masonic facilities at Charlton should contact our representative, Wor. Joe Podgorski at 978-475-0564. The facility is no longer "just a retirement home" - it consists of apartments and assisted living as well as the conventional elderly housing. E will be glad to fill you in on all the particulars.
DATES TO REMEMBER
FROM THE EAST Greetings Brethren: The holiday season is upon us again and with it many activities planned at St. Matthew's. We will be serving free coffee during the Andover Santa Parade. Please come out and join us as we spread cheer, warm coffee, and Masonic Awareness to parade spectators.
I would like to commend the new line of officers for the good job they did out of the starting gate in November's meeting. It's a good sign of great things to come. In addition, I'd like to thank Wor. Steve and Wor. Joe for their assistance that evening.
We have many more activities planned for the New Year. If you've just joined our lodge or are a member who hasn't been to lodge in some time, now is the time to get involved. Come to Service Committee Meeting and see what your lodge is doing, join a committee, become active in your lodge. It's rewarding and fun.
Lastly, as winter is approaching and the weather is getting colder, please keep in mind our older brethren. If you haven't heard from an older brother please give him a call or pay him a visit. I wish you all a joyful and peaceful holiday season. With warm fraternal greetings, Jim
